SMM March 27 News:

Today, spot prices of #1 copper cathode against the front-month contract in North China were at a discount of 200-160 yuan/mt, with an average discount of 180 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day. The transaction price ranged from 81,230 to 81,640 yuan/mt, with an average of 81,435 yuan/mt, down by 1,060 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. As copper prices slightly retreated, downstream restocking sentiment showed some recovery, and spot premiums/discounts temporarily stabilized. However, with copper prices still at high levels, consumption remains weak, and market activity is unlikely to see a significant boost. Copper cathode supplies in North China have been shipped to other regions.
